Now we are inside Jamila’s Kitchen with my friend and the owner Malik.

So we want to ask you what's the story behind Jamila's. Jamila is my wife's name. She had a passion for cooking and she always wanted to have her own kitchen to serve the community as well as serving her delicious food, and she needed my support she needed to accomplish her vision and passion.

So what type of food can someone expect to eat here?

India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indo-Chinese & our Pizza Menu as well. It’s all made with Fusion which resonates with the skills and expertise of my wife

So what's your most popular item here?

If you look at the overall menu, we have very famous dishes from our Indian menu. Our Souvlakis, from Afghan menu. We have all the Shami’s. Also the Bolanee Well, that's one of my favorite items. Here is the Bolanee and I'm looking forward to trying that out here with for somebody that's never been here before.

What's one thing that you could say go ahead and try?

I would ask them to buy our Afghan Shami’s which is three different Shami’s. it's all ground meat beef, lamb, chicken.

You're making my mouth watery. So can't wait to try these two dishes today.

Alright, so the food just came out and it is all piping hot. So we have the chicken shami here.

I've got the lamb shami, some bolanee. One of my favorites. This is basically dough pan-fried with onions in them and potatoes with herbs. They have the sauce. It's called Maast sauce like a bit of a yogurt and then we have this with some rice(Pilaff), onions, Afghan bread.

This is really amazing! Can’t wait to dig right in.

We just ate a full meal here that was really tasty,  lots of good spices again.

If you ever want to come by and fulfill them and check out Jamila's Kitchen. They're over here on Burnett Highway close to PineTree in Coquitlam.
